		<description>A week ago, I found out that i have a high risk(95%) of carrying a baby with DS. I feel devasteated as well as my husband, i dont&#039; know how to mention this to my family.... Both of us are not prepare for this yet, how do i over come w/ this??? I&#039;ve been suffering everyday and feel so depress. Pls help......</description>

		<description>I think more people should realize that chromosome 21 is also known as chromosome G, in chromosomal nomenclature. Trisomy 21 is also known as Trisomy G. You can do a medical literature search and confirm this. I think it is absolutely and utterly appalling that Sarah Palin named &quot;her&quot; child TRi-G, which essentially is another name for  Down Syndrome. I asked an older nurse I work with and she said that years ago, children with Down syndrome were &quot;affectionately&quot; called &quot;Trig&quot; babies. I find this very disturbing...as disturbing as the character in the movie Precious who named her Down Syndrome child &quot;Little Mongo&quot;. Even if Palin&#039;s choice was somehow a colossal coincidence, I think she should address thsoe she has offended by her choice.</description>

		<description>My 3 year old daughter has ds.  It&#039;s hard enough to raise her with my husband, I can&#039;t imagine all that stress added to being a single mom.  I really don&#039;t see a lot of people waiting in line to adopt special needs children.  Good luck and peace to your daughter, whatever she decides.  Ds is truly a life changing diagnosis.</description>
