Senior year of high school and looking at colleges!
My daughter has just started her period within the last 6 months. Along with her period came a regression in potty training. She stays dry at school and overnight. During the day at home she would rather let off a […]
Grace just started going to a local disabilities worship group run by the church. She goes with a paid chapperone (I use my respite hours for this) who picks her up and drops her back off afterward. She is very happy to have her own activity since her brother has been going all along. I’m so grateful that our church has so many opportunities for…[Read more]
Kayla is now 15 months old. She is so beautiful! She scoots around the house on her bottom since she can not yet crawl. She is quite fast. LOL! I love seeing her explore.
Hi Everyone. My name is Niamh Mc Ardle, I live in Ireland and have 2 sons, Zach and Alex. Zach is 5 and Alex is 4 and Zach has Downs Syndrome. We didn’t know when Zach was born that he had downs. He passed all the usual paediatric tests and it was only when I looked at him later on that I thought he had some of the usual downs features. I…[Read more]
Great story Niamh…it always seems to work that way, initial worry and concern, followed later by a thrilling life of enjoyment! I know where you came from, my daughter was a 1 in 4,600 chance of having Down syndrome, yet here I am. Hi
Se’anna starts school on weds, a new school in a new state. I know my baby will do great and she will bring so much joy to everyone around her.
Happy to be here and excited to meet some amazing people associated with Down syndrome. Only if I knew how to ”crop my Avatar” then I could post a picture of my little one. I have a long Labor Day weekend so I have some time to figure out what’s most likely something very easy to do!
I started a new blog a few months ago just blabbing about my life experiences with Alopecia and Down syndrome. If anyone would like to come join me and give me any input, I would love it

Hi my name is christina, My son Gabriel has down syndrome. he is two and we are having a hard time getting him to eat. some say it’s because he is picky some say he wants to do it himself. anyone else have this problem? any advice??
do you guys go through early on ?? that sounds like a really good question for the ocupational therapist.. they have answered so many questions about that kind of stuff for me.. although now savannahs just the opisite if i let her feed herself she shuvs handfulls of food in her mouth
although one big thing for her and eating was she would choke really easy because her muscles were too weak.. so just to make sure hes not struggling i would bring it up to the doc and see if they wanna do some kind of test or the early on therapist could come over and watch him eat and tell you whats going on….. good luck
MY Dawn is now 5months old,she is now learning to sit.
I am glad we are almost finished – we live in a rural school district and everything has been a battle….and we survived – I think!
