Hi all! My daughter, Jenny, is 10 years old. She is in a STEPS class through our local school district. Entering 5th grade this year, doing work at a 1st grade level. Puberty has started…have been practicing for her ”monthly visitor”, not thrilled about the day it starts, lol! Jenny likes to ”milk” her disability, making people think she is not capable of what I know she can do. She can read simple sentences, add and subtract small numbers, etc. She can work any electronic device in the house and well as make an omelete on the stove, read directions to make a ”nuke” meal, and many other things that will help her be self-sufficient in life. She’s a clown, always trying to be funny and make people laugh. Loves giving hugs and kisses…which we are trying to reel in a bit. She’s a bit boy crazy…lol! She has two older brothers who both are diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and Bipolar Disorder. We have quite the hopping household! I have been raising them all on my own for over 9 years, they keep me young! Looking forward to hearing about all your kiddos!
