Clarissa is still just trying to memorize her spelling. I don’t think she’s got the concept of putting together the letters yet and sound it out. I have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. My daughter more than anything else. Happy Holidays!
Clarissa just turned 4 years old. She’s just amazing. She is learning how to spell some words and she loves to pretend to read. She is just so great.

That is so great! I remember when my little one (w/ down syndrome) began to sound out the letters and read. She was about 6 I think. Now she loves to read. (She’s12 now.) It’s the best thing we can teach our young ones, I believe.

Yes, be very thankful for your little one especially because they grow so fast! She will be reading to you before you know it. The main thing is that she is interested. That’s how my little one started out. God bless and enjoy your holidays!
