Does anyone out there have a down syndrome person as old as 62?
Our doctors have all said he is the oldest person with this that they have ever seen or heard of.
My brother in law is 62 years old with DS and has always had problems urinating without a huge strain. He is suffering right now with double pnemonia and is in the ICU unit at our local hospital. They tried to cathertize him, but the tube was too large. They actually had to have a surgeon stretch him to have it inserted. We are hoping it…[Read more]

I don’t know of any help or tips I could suggest to you, but I do know that older people do tend to get pneumonia more easily because they have more underlying health conditions. I don’t have any suggestions to help with the pnemonia, unfortunately. But in regards to your wanting to adopt a child with down syndrome, I think that is a wonderful idea.
