I stared her on solids about one month ago. We started off with rice cereal and then added some fruit to it, and now she is eating veggies too. She really likes to eat and holds food better down than her formula. I’m not sure when I want to add meat or small finger foods that will dissolve in her mouth, like cheerios. I don’t know if I need to have a different type diet for her because of possible susceptibilities connected to DS, it would be nice to be able to speak to a nutritionist, at some point.

Hi Karen, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. My daughter is six months old and has issues right now mostly with low muscle tone. I just convinced the social worker that I believe she needs therapy and is suppose to start with OT next month. Hopefully, it will be okay since she seems a little behind in the process of when to start therapy. I get nervous a little because she can only roll over one one direction and her upper trunk is shaky. I wish I knew more excersices to help stimulate her. Is your baby six months old yet? How is she doing, she’s a cutie.
