Thanks Sue. I’m glad to hear your daughter is doing so well. Kids are amazing at how they adapt and get over things, regardless of how many chromosomes they have. Take care!

Hi Kimberly… I am computer literate and I find it very confusing… so don’t feel bad.
They are 4 months old now (minus 6 weeks developmentally as they were preemies).

Hi there… just joined a couple of days ago and still trying to figure out a few aspects of this site.
How does one start a blog here?

    • Hi Jen. Like you, I’m still trying to figure everything out. Only its not just this site. I’m not very computer literate so I’m trying to figure out the whole computer and internet thing. Your babies are beautiful. How old are they now?

    Hi,
I’m Jen and I’m Mom to 4 month old twins, Wyatt and Zoe. Wyatt has DS, Zoe does not. They also have an older brother Quinn who is 5.

Any DS/Non DS twin parents: how did you juggle the differences in development?
Any twin parents: How did you manage to juggle twins and older children?

    • Hello Jen! My name is Leslie and like you, I also have twins, one with & one b/g. Their names are Rudy & Veronica and my “babies” will be 25 in a week. It was almost 3 years before I ever met someone else with twins when they were born (of course there were no computers then!! lol). Life has been an adventure thats for sure. I will post more…[Read more]

      • I guess I didnt really even answer any of your questions huh? old age!! lol Rudy and Veronica were full term and have a brother 3 years older so yeah had my hands full. But in a way, that was a blessing because I didnt really have time to “baby” Rudy so he doesnt really realize he’s any different than anyone else. They stopped being “twins”…[Read more]

I am not good at blogging myself, so I just usually “post” messages. Your avatar is a beautiful picture. My daughter (with the extra chromosome) is three and a half. She got a baby brother last November (with just the right number of chromosomes), had open heart surgery in February, and started preschool in April. While I get sad that she…[Read more]

Hi Shawn… same here. There are a few tricky aspects of the site that I’m trying to get my head around. Like, how do I start blogging?
I think my two are just about at that point where Zoe will move ahead in her development where Wyatt will take more time. How did you handle that? (along with the myriad of other challenges that simply…[Read more]

    Hi, I’m Jen.
I have 3 month old boy-girl twins, one of which has an extra chromosome.
I’m interested in talking to anyone else out there who has similar twins.

    • Hi Jen I have 3 1/2 year old boy-girl twins. My son Connor has DS and my daughter Amanda does not. I’m just joining the group and it’s taking some time to figure it out.

    • First let me say CONGRATULATIONS on the special blessing you’ve been given. I never imagined life with these guys would be this fabulous. Hopefully the state you live in has an aggressive early intervention program. Connor and Amanda were born in NM and their program was great. They were such a big help with both of them. They were born @ 32…[Read more]
