HI VERONICA, FIRST GIVE JONATON A BIG BIRTHDAY HUG FROM ME. I AM SORRY THAT JONATHON HAS BEEN HAVING A HARD TIME BUT THANK GOD THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A TREATMENT FOR WHAT EVER HE DEVELOPES. BELIEVE ME IT MAY SEEM LIKE THERE IS NO END TO THE TUNNEL OF WORRIES BUT THERE IS. I SPENT A LOT OF TIMES IN DOCTORS OFFICES WHEN ISAAC WAS A BABY AND NOW I JUST GO FOR REGULAR CHECK-UPS. IT WELL GET BETTER. I HAVE TO GO GET ISAAC FROM SCHOOL BUT I WILL WRITE BACK SOON.

HI VERONICA! I’M SORRY TO HEAR YOU ARE HAVING SUCH A HARD IT WITH JONATHON. YES ISAAC HAD HIS TIME MESSED UP WHEN HE CAME OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND I HAD TO WORK WITH HIM TO TRY TO GET HIM BACK ON SCHEDULE. I JUST PRETTY MUCH TRIED WHAT I COULD AND THAT WAS TO KEEP HIM UP DURING THE DAY AS LONG AS I CAN. IT TOOK A GOOD WHILE BUT IT WORKED. YOUR HUSBAND HAS TO BE PATIENT BECAUSE US AS MOTHERS ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE ROUGH TIMES MORE OFTEN THEN THEM. I USE TO SPEND ALOT OF MY TIME IN THE LIVING ROOM BECAUSE I DIDN’T WANT TO WAKE HIM. I WOULD SLEEP AS MUCH AS I COULD IN BETWEEN UNTIL HE WAS ON TRACK. I WOULD ALSO SING TO HIM AT NIGHT WHILE I ROCKED HIM TO TRY TO GET HIM TO UNDERSTAND THAT THAT MENT IT WAS BEDTIME. ONE THING ABOUT N.G. TUBES IS THAT THEY CAN SLEEP THROUGH A FEEDING AND THAT KIND OF HURTS TOO BECAUSE YOU FEED THEM EVEN WHEN THEIR ASLEEP. THEY FEEL FULL AND CONTINUE TO SLEEP. JUST HANG IN THERE AND JONATHON WILL EVENTUALLY GET IT. BUT I’M SORRY TO SAY THAT YOU WILL BE FEEL LIKE A ZOMBIE FOR A GOOD WHILE. KEEP ME POSTED AND I’M SORRY I COULDN’T GIVE MORE IDEAS.

God Bless you Veronica! I can only imagine what you and your familly has been going through. I have been through some tough time like almost losing Isaac twice but I haven’t experienced nothing like you. I use to feel sorry for myself that I had to deal with so much with my baby. But I have seen that others deal with so much more. I will keep praying for you and yours and that your precious baby boy will overcome all the opsticles that are layed before him. Our beautiful babies of downsyndrome are a lot stronger then we think and most of them overcome their illnesses. When Isaac was in the I.C.U. for six weeks the doctor really didn’t think Isaac was going to make it and I would pray everyday and night and ask God to give him the power to fight and he did. I would talk to him, pray with him and sing to him. But most of all I would tell him that I loved him every minute that I could. Be strong my friend and pray. God will here your prayer and I will be here in Houston, Texas doing the same. Take Care and give Jonathan a kiss from his new friend.

Thanks for including me in your group. Hang in there, things will get better. It may seem like the problems will never end. Leave it in God’s hands. I went through some rough times and it seemed like I lived in the hos[ital for over a month. Isaac is my fifth child and I had him at the age of 36. I had a different pregnancy with Isaac and I didn’t want to know if there was anything wrong with him. When he was born and when my husband told me that Isaac was born with down syndrome, It didn’t really hit me until I saw him when he was being transported to the childrens hospital. I saw his face and All I saw was a beautiful baby boy. Isaac had a shut place in him when he was three days old. He stayed in the hospital for a week. He did fine. Isaac has had two open heart surgeries to replace the shunt with a conduent and we did have some close calls but he is well and Isaac is 10 years old now and still going strong.
How is Jonathon doing now? And how are you doing?. I now how stressful it can be. Just keep strong and believe. It will get better.
